Firstly, many low-income families end up not being able to afford 100% of the costs of a house. One of the costs that has grown the most lately is that of cooking gas, in the 13 kg cylinder. Therefore, the Federal Government created the Auxílio-Gás program with the aim of helping low-income families have access to cooking gas.

Who can receive Gas Aid?

Certainly, people who fall into the respective points can receive this benefit:

1. Have active registration in the Single Registry (Cadúnico);
2. Have a per capita family income of up to half the minimum wage (R$606);
3. Have a total family income equal to or less than three minimum wages;
4. Families with income above three minimum wages, as long as they are included in income transfer programs;
5. Have among family members a person who receives the Continuous Payment Benefit (BPC/Loas).

However, over time, this benefit became limited for people, and more criteria emerged. See some more of them:

• Families with updated registration in Cadúnico in the last two years;
• Lower income;
• That have a greater number of members;
• Families covered by Auxílio Brasil;
• With registration qualified by the manager through the use of investigation information (if available).

How can I consult Gas Aid using the CPF?

Through the Auxílio Brasil Application

1. Open the Auxílio Brasil application and click “Access”;
2. Click on the option “I want to enter my Auxílio Brasil app password or do I want to register”.
3. Enter your CPF, check the option “I'm not a robot” and proceed;
4. Enter your password and confirm;
5. Click on “Benefits” to see which are available and the status;
6. Click on “View installments” to access the status of each payment you have already received or will receive.

Through the Caixa TEM application

1. Open the Caixa TEM application;
2. After that, log in with the CPF and password registered in the app;
3. Check the option “I'm not a robot” and click “Continue”;
4. Click on the “Extract” option and look for the acronym AUX GÁS to verify receipt of the benefit.

Via Telephone

Furthermore, in addition to using the two applications, which were demonstrated previously, it is possible to verify using the CPF through a call. You will have to call Caixa Econômica number 111 or Ministry of Citizenship number 121.

Will the Gas Aid be maintained in 2023?

According to Caixa, with the social card it is possible to make withdrawals at CAIXA self-service terminals, at CAIXA Aqui correspondents and at Lottery units.
